| Last night was senior night, and it was an awesome last “hurrah” with these amazing people that I’ve grown up with. Patti and my brother escorted me, and all my section was like “who was that HOTT GUY escorting you?!?!?” Pretty funny…. But I really do thank them for doing that. And Noelle and I got to fulfill our dream of conducting on that big ‘ole podium! AND we beat Parkview, making it pretty much a perfect night. I didn’t have a hat to wear other than my pink beanie, so I just curled my hair and wore a tiara instead. I got so many compliments and “Awww You look just like a princess!”es, but none from the one person that I wanted to notice me. (But it’s all good, because Alex McCormack--the least girly guy ever--said that he liked my lipstick!) After the game, I drove Faust to Cannon to put the finishing touches on Jacki and Rob’s cars-they were amazing!!! HUGE props to the trumpet section for that, because that was beautiful. And afterwards, me, clara, magon, and jacki took jumping pictures! My feet have never hurt worse in my life, but it was so worth it. I love friends, and I love acting stupid lol :D And stargazing was pretty awesome too lol! Today, I got woken up by my doggy (one of my 50 things I love), and afterwards Patti and I went to the Brookwood craft fair-we met Vince Dooley! He signed a couple of books, and we got some sweet Christmas gifts, and then we headed on over to Loganville for a baby shower. She’s 17, and 7 months pregnant…. It’s weird, b/c this girl and I were friends when we were 6, and we’ve seen eachother grow up. And now I’m seeing her grow a baby inside of her. It’s crazy. Seeing her for the first time like that, and a lot of the things that she did and said today, just reminded me exactly of sarah, and that’s really terrifying. Everyone was really nice, and that family’s just awesome. It’s a very southern family (that morning, her 10-year-old little sister went hunting with her dad and shot a HUGE buck, to give you an idea lol), and it was all just very home-y. When Patti and I finally got home after a LONG morning, we sat in the sun room with Bentley watching the leaves fall off the trees. Sounds lame, I know, but it was so emotional for me (in light of recent events). |
